Wentworth Family Farm is a recently rebuilt and revamped attraction within Wentworth Garden Centre, a short drive from Rotherham. It packs a surprising amount in for a modest entry price - around £4.25 for adults and £3.95 for children, with under-1s free. Families can meet friendly llamas, alpacas, pigs, ponies, sheep and goats, as well as more unusual residents including foxes, meerkats, peacocks, aviary birds, reptiles and small mammals, with daily animal handling sessions and highlights such as feeding Larry the llama. Play is a big part of the day too: there is a sand and water play area with a large pirate ship climbing frame, a mini tractor derby racetrack and an undercover adventure playground, so there is plenty to do whatever the weather.
