About Heeley City Farm

Heeley City Farm is a friendly community farm, charity and environmental visitor centre in the heart of Heeley, close to Sheffield city centre. Entry is free, with donations welcome, and you can simply drop by at any time during opening hours - no booking is needed. The farm is home to goats, rare-breed sheep, curious hens, cows, pigs, horses, ducks, geese and peacocks, along with a Small Animals House that houses smaller creatures including chipmunks, lizards and other exotics. For younger visitors there is an enclosed under-8s playground, and some of the smaller animals are kept in the same secure area so children can wander a little more freely. The on-site Farm Kitchen cafe serves locally sourced meals with plenty of vegan and gluten-free choices, and there is a garden shop too. The farm is open from 9am to 5pm every day except Christmas Day. Toilets are by the duck pond, the mostly paved site has full disabled access, and dogs are welcome on a lead everywhere except the small animal house.
