About Hill Top Park
Hill Top Park is a local neighbourhood park in the Hill Top area of West Bromwich, managed by Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council and sitting conveniently behind Hill Top Library and the Hill Top Community Centre. It is a handy, down-to-earth green space geared towards everyday family play rather than grand heritage features. The children's play area is aimed at younger children up to around nine years old, with familiar equipment such as swings, slides, monkey bars and a climbing frame giving plenty of scope for active play. For older children and teenagers there is a skate park for scooters, skateboards and BMX, plus a basketball court and sports pitches for informal games. Its position next to the library and community centre makes it a natural hub for the local neighbourhood, and the open green space is well used by families living nearby. While Hill Top Park is smaller and simpler than Sandwell's flagship heritage parks, its mix of a children's playground, skate park and ball-games provision makes it a useful, free local spot. It is open to the public, with hours that vary by season.
