About Osgathorpe Park
Osgathorpe Park is a park of around 16.6 acres in the Burngreave area, in the north of Sheffield, offering a green, open space for the surrounding community. It is one of Sheffield City Council's parks and is free to visit. The park has a children's playground that benefited from the council's Play Improvements programme, with the installation of swings, a roundabout and new surfacing approved in early 2019, and it has since been included in wider rounds of playground investment across the city. Alongside the play area there is a football and sports area, with open grassland and walking paths across the gently sloping site making it a pleasant place for a stroll as well as play. The park sits close to Burngreave and Pitsmoor, within easy reach of the Northern General Hospital and local schools, and serves as an everyday neighbourhood green space. With its refreshed play equipment, room for a kickabout and open parkland, Osgathorpe Park is a simple, free local destination for families in the north of the city.
