About Round the Twist
Round the Twist is a large indoor soft play centre in Benton, on the North Tyne Industrial Estate off Whitley Road in Newcastle upon Tyne, and bills itself as the largest soft play in the city and one of the biggest in the North East. The centre is built around a big multi-level soft play frame with ball pits, slides and tunnels, giving children plenty of space to climb, slide and explore. There is also a football pitch for more active play. Younger visitors have their own separate toddler area so babies and pre-schoolers can play safely apart from the bigger children. An on-site cafe serves food and drinks for parents and carers, party rooms are available for birthday celebrations, and there is parking at the industrial estate. The centre is open seven days a week with generous hours, from 9am on weekdays and 10am at weekends, with last entry a couple of hours before closing, so it is a reliable option for a longer play session. It is a popular, well-established family destination in the Newcastle area.
