About Everton Park Playground
Everton Park is a modern hilltop park of more than 40 hectares on Everton Hill, created between 1984 and 1989 on the site of cleared 19th-century housing. Sitting on one of the highest points in Liverpool, it is famous for panoramic views of the city — the Three Graces, both cathedrals, and on clear days the Wirral and the Welsh hills. For families there is a centrally located playground with accessible equipment, outdoor fitness gear, a skatepark popular with skaters and BMXers, and a 'mini roads' zone where children can practise riding bikes and scooters. The Everton Park Nature Garden adds ponds, paths and a wildflower area, and historic features such as Prince Rupert's Tower — a Georgian village lock-up — and St George's Church stand within the park.
