About The Rally Park
The Rally Community Park sits in the Woodgate area of Leicester, in the Fosse ward, on the site of the old West Bridge Station that once served as the city terminus of the historic Leicester and Swannington Railway. Managed by Leicester City Council, it is a free, open community green space that has seen major investment in recent years. It offers a children's play area, a BMX track and a pond, and in July 2026 a new multi-use games area (MUGA) opened at the park, launched with a free community event and a summer of free coaching. The council has also secured Active Travel Fund money to extend footpaths from the children's play area through to the Fosse Road North entrance, and a new community garden is being created on a previously underused paved area. With open grass, paths and family-focused facilities, The Rally has become a focus for community activity and sport in the west of the city. It is free to enter and open to the public throughout the year.
