About East End Park
East End Park is a council-owned park in inner east Leeds, about a mile east of the city centre, managed by Leeds City Council's Parks and Countryside service. The land was originally part of the grounds of Osmondthorpe Hall and was purchased by Leeds in the late 19th century. Today it is a busy recreational hub for the communities of inner east Leeds. For families, the play area is bright and fun with swings, slides and climbing frames, and there is even a bike track bolted onto the playground for little ones to practise their riding, plus picnic benches nearby. Following a community design project, the council installed an activity area with a dip station, climbing wall and stepping stones, along with outdoor fitness equipment. The wider park offers a basketball court, bowling green, football area, Multi-Use Games Area, table tennis, tennis court and wooded areas. The park is wheelchair and pushchair accessible and the playground is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
