About New Hall Valley Country Park
New Hall Valley Country Park is an award-winning green open space and wildlife haven just a mile from the centre of the Royal Town of Sutton Coldfield, extending towards Pype Hayes Park. The former farmland officially opened as a country park in 2005 and covers around 200 acres, managed by Birmingham City Council. The park has two children's play areas, found near the Elm Road and Meadow Cross entrances, together with a picnic area for families to enjoy. More than 2km of surfaced paths run through the valley, ideal for buggies, scooters and bikes, and they lead past wildflower meadow fields and alongside the river on a peaceful riverside walk. The landscape is rich in wildlife, making it a popular spot for nature walks and family outings. Visitors should note there are no toilet facilities on site. Parking is available off Wylde Green Road and Coleshill Road. With its mix of two play areas, open meadows and accessible riverside routes, New Hall Valley is a spacious, family-friendly country park on the north-eastern edge of Birmingham.
