About Bath City Farm
Bath City Farm is a free, charity-run community farm set across 37 acres of green hillside on the western edge of Bath, with sweeping views over the city. The farm is home to a range of friendly animals including miniature Shetland ponies, Dexter cattle, pigs, sheep, goats, chickens and ducks, and families can wander the paddocks, nature trails, meadows and woodland at their own pace. Little ones have a dedicated children's playground, while the community-run Roots to Work Cafe serves drinks and light bites on selected days. As a charity, the farm supports local people through training and wellbeing projects, and entrance is free although donations are warmly welcomed to help keep it running. It is a relaxed, low-key day out rather than a theme park, making it ideal for toddlers and young children who want to meet animals, run around in the fresh air and explore the outdoors. The farm is open Tuesday to Sunday and has free on-site parking, so it is easy to visit for a short morning or a leisurely afternoon.
