About Fox Hollies Park

Fox Hollies Park is considered the most historic part of Acocks Green, with archaeological remains said to date back to around 1,500BC. Managed by Birmingham City Council, the park covers 40 acres of mature trees, grassland and a scenic, popular fishing lake known as the Round Pool, with Westley Brook winding through the grounds. For families there are two children's playgrounds, and older children have a skate park off Gospel Lane. A 2km walking route runs through the park, and there is a car park off Gospel Lane. The council has committed to a major upgrade of the park's play facilities, including new play equipment, surfacing and fencing, improvements to the skate park, alterations to paths, new seating and tree planting. The park is well served by public transport, with bus route 32 stopping on Shirley Road and route 4A on Gospel Lane, and three railway stations within a mile at Hall Green, Spring Road and Olton.
