About Sandwell Park Farm
Sandwell Park Farm, now part of the Sandwell Valley Visitor Centre, is a restored Victorian working farm in Sandwell Valley Country Park, run by Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council and reached from Salters Lane in West Bromwich. It gives families a glimpse of farm life as it once was, with rare-breed animals including Tamworth pigs, Shropshire sheep, Bagot goats and Hereford cattle, alongside a traditional kitchen garden and a heritage display telling the story of Sandwell Valley. There is an on-site cafe and the farm sits within the wider country park, so a visit can be combined with walks and open grounds. The farm is open Monday to Sunday from 10am to 4:30pm. General admission is free for most of the year, though a small charge applies during school holidays when extra family activities run. It is a popular choice with families with young children, hosting seasonal events through the year such as Easter and Christmas specials, and there is parking within the country park.
