About Graves Park Animal Farm
Graves Park Animal Farm sits within Graves Park, Sheffield's largest area of parkland, and is run by Sheffield City Council. It is a free, turn-up-and-go attraction - no booking required - that gives families the chance to get close to some of the rarest breeds of farm livestock in the country, including Tamworth pigs, Highland cattle and Jacob sheep, alongside goats, donkeys, waterfowl and a host of other small animals, many of them rescued. The farm is open seven days a week from 10am to 3:30pm. Right next to the on-site Rose Garden Cafe is a large play area with a sandpit, toddler equipment, climbing frames, a zip wire and swings, and the wider park adds a golf practice course, bowling greens and tennis courts for a full family day out. The farm has its own car park off Hemsworth Road with Blue Badge spaces. Paths through the park include some slight to steep slopes. Dogs are welcome in most of the park but not inside the farm, where a water bowl is provided for assistance dogs.
