About Stepney City Farm

Stepney City Farm is a free 4.5-acre working farm in the heart of Tower Hamlets, an easy and rewarding day out for families across East London and nearby Hackney. It gives children and adults the chance to meet farm animals, learn how food is grown and try their hand at arts and crafts, with an education programme that welcomes more than 6,000 schoolchildren each year. The farm and its on-site cafe open Tuesday to Sunday plus bank holiday Mondays from 10am to 4pm, and every Saturday there is a popular Farmers' Market from 10am to 3pm selling fresh local produce. Entry to the farm is free, funded through donations, the cafe and community activities. The site is wheelchair accessible with ramps to the cafe and an accessible toilet, and a small number of Blue Badge parking spaces can be arranged in advance by phone. Please note there is no general parking on or near the farm, and as a working agricultural site only assistance dogs are allowed. Well connected by Tube and bus, Stepney City Farm is a welcoming, down-to-earth green space that combines animals, growing and community in one of London's busiest boroughs.
