About Barnard Park Playground
Barnard Park is a large green park in the west of Islington, in the Barnsbury area, created in 1967 on land around Copenhagen Street. Managed by the London Borough of Islington, it is free and open to the public and covers roughly ten acres, including a substantial area given over to football. The park has a children's playground with a water play feature, a toilet block, a full-size football pitch and a wide grassy meadow that gives families plenty of room to run around and picnic.
