About Hembrigg Park

Hembrigg Park is a community sports and play park in Morley, on the south-west side of the Leeds district, managed by Leeds City Council. It is a popular local green space that combines a modern playground with facilities for organised and informal sport. The children's playground was fitted with new equipment in 2023 and includes a roundabout, a climbing frame, a zipline and swings, giving younger visitors plenty to enjoy. Added at the same time was a set of outdoor gym equipment, so adults and older children can exercise in the fresh air. The park has two full-sized football pitches with fixed goals, which are well used by local teams, along with wide areas of open grass that are good for kickabouts, picnics and running around. Tarmac paths run through the park with picnic benches and seating alongside, making it easy to get around and to find a spot to sit. There is free on-site parking, with additional street parking on surrounding roads if the main car park is full. There are no toilets or a cafe on site, but the Carrier Arms pub is about five minutes away and there are sandwich shops and a fish shop within a short walk. It is a straightforward, family-friendly neighbourhood park.
