About Sighthill Park
Sighthill Park sits at the heart of the Sighthill area just north of Glasgow city centre, part of the city's largest regeneration programme, led by Glasgow City Council. The roughly 18-acre park is a landscaped green space with open grassy areas, footpaths, marshy ponds that encourage wildlife, sports pitches and children's play areas. As part of the £250m Sighthill regeneration, Glasgow City Council delivered new play spaces here designed and supplied with modern, vandal-resistant equipment and impact-absorbing surfacing providing critical fall-height protection, and the completed play areas opened in the early 2020s. The wider masterplan has reconnected Sighthill with the city centre, including a new bridge across the M8, new homes, a school, pocket parks, plazas and high-quality outdoor environments for the community. Set beside Pinkston and the Forth and Clyde Canal, the park combines family play facilities with naturalistic planting and wildlife ponds, giving residents of this densely populated part of north Glasgow a large, accessible green space on their doorstep. It is a free, public park open year-round.
