About Southend Gardens

Southend Gardens is a seafront community park on Swansea Prom in Mumbles, offering sweeping views across Swansea Bay. The gardens combine mature trees and informal flower beds with a children's play area that families have enjoyed for generations. As part of a coastal revamp, a new Seaview play area now stretches from Southend Gardens towards The George, adding a slide, bouldering walls, a balance trail and a hammock that link with the existing Southend Gardens playground. The gardens sit directly beside Mumbles Road, close to all the shops, cafes and attractions of Mumbles village, making it an easy stop on a day by the coast. Seasonal crazy golf operates on site from April to September. The park is open all year round with easy pedestrian and wheelchair or pram access from Cornwall Place, and it is a popular spot for families, walkers and cyclists following the seafront route along the bay.
