About Llandaff Fields

Llandaff Fields is a 70-acre area of open parkland on the west bank of the River Taff between Pontcanna and Llandaff, adjoining the larger Pontcanna Fields to form one of Cardiff's biggest green spaces. Managed by Cardiff Council, it is well used for informal recreation, sport and dog walking. For families the main feature is a children's playground suitable for ages around 3 to 14, with climbing equipment and swings, set within wide open grassland that is ideal for ball games and kite flying. Sports facilities include pitches for many different sports, tennis courts and bowls. A toilet and refreshment kiosk is open all year round beside the play area. The parkland itself is open 24 hours a day and is free to enter. There is a pay-and-display car park at Llandaff Fields with 59 spaces, including blue-badge and electric-vehicle bays, with charges applying between 9am and 6pm and the first 30 minutes free; the car park itself is open from 7:30am until shortly before sunset. The open fields make it a popular, dog-friendly spot close to the city centre.
