About Roseburn Public Park

Roseburn Public Park is a free, flat green space of around 14 acres in the Roseburn district of west Edinburgh, tucked in beside Murrayfield rugby stadium and managed by the City of Edinburgh Council. The Water of Leith runs along the park's northern edge, and the surrounding paths make it an easy, level visit for families. The main draw for younger visitors is the children's play area, which underwent a major refurbishment: it includes a climbing frame aimed at under-sixes, cradle swings, a basket swing, sandpits, tunnels and see-saws, along with a larger climbing unit for older children, so it suits a wide span of ages. Beyond the playground the park is well used for sport, with football and cricket pitches, table tennis and a chess table, plus plenty of open grass to run around on. Its position close to the Murrayfield tram stop and local bus routes makes it one of the more accessible neighbourhood parks on the west side of the city, and it stays popular on match days and throughout the week with families, dog walkers and sports clubs alike.
