About Knighton Park

Knighton Park is a large and varied green space in the Knighton area of south Leicester, covering around 78 acres. Managed by Leicester City Council and free to enter, it mixes formal flower beds and woodland planting with open parkland, woodland walks and a mapped tree trail. The park has a strong family offer, with a large children's play area, natural play features and a children's sensory play area that includes a wheelchair-accessible roundabout, as well as outdoor gym equipment for older visitors and adults. There are also sports courts, tennis courts and self-guided orienteering courses, plus benches, picnic tables and surfaced paths throughout.
