About Wandsworth Park Playground
Wandsworth Park Playground sits within Wandsworth Park, a Grade II listed Edwardian park on the south bank of the River Thames in the London Borough of Wandsworth, between Putney and Wandsworth town centres. The playground is located just off Putney Bridge Road, opposite the tennis courts. A new playground was unveiled in July 2025, designed with accessibility and inclusivity in mind and featuring modern, durable equipment that encourages imaginative play, climbing, swinging and social interaction; more than £240,000 was made available for the improvements. The playground is free to use and open during park hours. Wandsworth Park is around 8 hectares in size and is known for its riverside views and its avenue of London plane trees, with a mix of formal gardens and open playing field. Other facilities in the park include a cafe, public toilets and tennis courts, and the park is managed on behalf of Wandsworth Council by Enable, working with the Friends of Wandsworth Park.
