About Ravenhill Park
Ravenhill Park is a hidden-gem hillside park in the Gendros and Ravenhill area of Swansea, managed by Swansea Council, with mature trees, large grass areas and stunning countryside and coastal views over the Loughor estuary towards Llanelli. Its children's play area was rebuilt as part of the council's multi-million-pound play upgrade programme with a strong focus on inclusive play, offering a pendulum group swing, an overhead carousel with drop-down seats, a junior multiplay unit, an above-ground carousel, a swing unit with inclusive seating, a springer, play panels and an inclusive flush carousel that can be used by wheelchair users. Alongside the playground there is a multi-use games area, a basketball court, a bowling green and a concrete amphitheatre. The park has four entrances, two on Middle Road (one at the top and one at the bottom) plus entrances from Carmarthen Road and Ravenhill Road itself. Entry is free. There is no dedicated car park, so visitors use on-street parking in the surrounding streets. It is a rewarding spot for families who want an inclusive play session paired with a walk and a view.
