About Mayhill Park
Mayhill Park is a hilltop green space in the Mayhill area of Swansea, enjoying open views over the city and bay. The play area was redesigned with input from local residents and children, who helped choose the equipment, and it forms part of Swansea Council's wider two million pound investment in play facilities across the city. The playground includes a zip line, a wheelchair-friendly roundabout, swings, a seesaw, a slide, a dedicated toddler zone and a climbing area, giving families a varied space for younger and older children together. Next to the play area, improvements have also been made to the multi use games area (MUGA), which sits beside the community and family centres and provides space for football and other ball games. Its elevated position makes it a distinctive neighbourhood park, and the involvement of the local community in its design has helped make it a genuine focal point for Mayhill. Entry is free and the park is open to the public.
