About Coed Bach Park
Coed Bach Park is a large recreation park at Gwynfryn Road in Pontarddulais, in the far north-west of the City and County of Swansea. At its heart is an enclosed children's playground, modern and well equipped with swings, slides and a variety of other play equipment, together with a zipwire that was funded through donations from local councillors and Pontarddulais Town Council. For older children and teenagers the park also has a skatepark, which the council upgraded to include a dirt track, making it a draw for wheeled sports. Beyond the play facilities, Coed Bach Park is home to tennis courts, a bowling club, a rugby club (Pontardulais RFC) and football fields, so it functions as the main sporting and recreational hub for the town. The enclosed playground is reassuring for parents of younger children, while the mix of play, skating and pitches means the park serves a broad range of ages. It is supported by a Friends of Coed Bach Park group. Entry is free and the park is open to the public.
