About Manor Fields Park
Manor Fields Park is a 24-hectare Green Flag Award-winning district park on City Road in the Manor area of Sheffield. It is owned by Sheffield City Council and looked after by the Green Estate Community Interest Company together with the Friends of Manor Fields Park. Created from former open land, the park blends art with nature and has recorded nearly 90 bird species. For families there are two children's playgrounds, found at the rear of the park as you enter from City Road, with a variety of play equipment set on a grassed surface with a tarmac path running through and seating areas throughout. There is also an interactive sandpit, a pondside boardwalk and informal kick-around areas. The wider park has Parkletics outdoor fitness equipment, hosts a weekly parkrun and forms part of the Outdoor City run route, with more than five kilometres of tarmacked paths crossing its 24 hectares. A small car park with disabled parking spaces sits at the City Road entrance, and the park is well served by bus and tram. Free to enter and award-winning for its management over many years, Manor Fields is a well-used green space on the east side of the city.
