About Tothill Park

Tothill Park is a good-sized park of around 6.7 hectares in the St Jude's area of Plymouth, close to the River Plym, and holds a Green Flag Award for the quality of its upkeep. The main playground, opposite the community centre, was refurbished in 2011 with exciting equipment including a large climbing wall, sandpits, swings and slides. A second cluster of equipment opposite Heathfield Road adds a youth shelter, a basketball area, a pyramid scramble net, a tyre swing and some outdoor exercise equipment, giving the park a good spread of play for different ages. The wider park is well provided for sport, with a tennis court, a bowling green and a multi-use games area made up of a full-size lined basketball court and a five-a-side football pitch enclosed by a gated fence, as well as a community centre that acts as a focus for local activity. With its mix of play, sport and open space close to the river, Tothill Park is a popular neighbourhood park. It is free to use and is managed by Plymouth City Council.
