About Stanton Low Park
Stanton Low Park is a riverside and heritage parkland on the northern edge of Milton Keynes, beside the Oakridge Park estate at Stantonbury, cared for by The Parks Trust and free to enter. The park is set within historic surroundings, with a medieval church and other heritage sites dating back centuries, and it borders the River Great Ouse. Its main family draw is the children's play area in the Oakridge Park estate, which offers a great range of equipment aimed at all age groups. Features include a zipline, toddler and flat swings, a basket swing, climbing structures with slides, a seesaw, playhouses, a wooden tractor and farm animals, and a shelter. A BMX track sits adjacent to the play area, giving older children and teenagers somewhere to ride. Benches are dotted around for carers and there is plenty of open green space for picnics and informal play. There are no public toilets in the park. Free public parking is available at Newport Road, and there is accessible parking on Selkirk Drive close to the play area. The combination of a well-equipped, varied play area, a BMX track and open riverside parkland makes it a good choice for families with children of mixed ages in the north of the city.
