About Newham Grange Farm

Newham Grange Farm is a historic working farm in Coulby Newham, south Middlesbrough, with roots going back centuries. Run as a family attraction, it lets children wander between sheds and paddocks to meet a varied cast of animals - wallabies, pigs, rabbits, cows, tortoises, goats, sheep, chickens, donkeys, horses, llamas and the farm cats - with boards giving each animal's name, breed and age, and clearly timetabled petting sessions. There is a dedicated guinea pig village too. Alongside the animals, the farm packs in plenty of play: a soft play area, a large outdoor adventure play park, electric go-karts and mini golf for older children, plus seasonal activities such as pumpkin picking and lamb feeding at the right times of year. Facilities include a cafe and a farm shop, and the site is mindful of hygiene with hand-washing stations dotted throughout. It is open Tuesday to Sunday (closed Mondays), 10am to 4pm with last admission at 3pm, and prices are modest - making it an affordable, hands-on day out for families with babies through primary-age children.
