About Hart Hill Adventure Playground
Hart Hill Adventure Playground was Luton's first flagship adventure playground, opening in early 2011 and run by Luton Borough Council in the Hart Hill area on the eastern side of town. Unlike an open neighbourhood playground, it is a supervised, staffed facility offering stimulating, exciting and challenging play for children and young people. The grounds include adventure play structures and an all-weather sports pitch, and there is a party room on site. The playground is aimed at children and young people aged 6 to 16, although under-6s are welcome if they are accompanied by an adult at all times. It is staffed by qualified, experienced play workers who are first-aid trained and DBS checked, which shapes its opening pattern: the site opens for free, drop-in play after school, Tuesday to Friday from 4pm to 6pm, and is closed on Mondays and at weekends. There is a free car park for users on Falks Hill, a bus stop within 150 metres, and Luton railway station is the nearest rail link.
