About Woodlesford Park

Woodlesford Park is a community recreation park on Oulton Lane in Woodlesford, in the Rothwell area on the south-east side of the Leeds district, and is managed by Leeds City Council. It is a well-equipped neighbourhood park that offers plenty for children of different ages. The playground was last replaced in 2017 and features swings, spinners, rockers, a roundabout and both small and large climbing frames with slides, along with a dedicated bicycle track marked out to help children develop balance and coordination skills on bikes and scooters. For older children there is a skatepark with metal ramps suitable for skateboards and scooters, and a basketball court and multi-use games area for ball games. The park also has a full-sized grass football pitch and a bowling green, together with seating areas where families can take a break. Paths are wheelchair and pushchair accessible, making it easy to get around with buggies. There are no toilets or a cafe within the park itself, but the Midland Hotel pub across the A642 serves food and refreshments and has public toilets. Free parking is available by the park entrance on Oulton Lane, so it is an easy park to reach by car for a family visit.
