About Charlton Park Playground
Charlton Park is a large Green Flag Award-winning park in Charlton, in the Royal Borough of Greenwich, sharing its grounds with the historic Charlton House. Its children's playground is designed with integrated access for wheelchair users, and the wider park offers plenty for families and older children. Alongside the playground there is a skate park for wheeled sports, free-to-use outdoor gym equipment and table tennis tables. The park also has large floodlit playing fields used by local sports clubs, plus football, cricket and grass pitches. Several gardens sit within the grounds, including a Japanese-style herb garden known as the Peace Garden and an adjoining walled sensory Pond Garden focused on plants that can be appreciated by people with visual or physical disabilities.
