About Robinswood Hill Country Park

Robinswood Hill Country Park is a 100-hectare country park on the south-east side of Gloucester, rising to 198 metres above sea level with extensive views across the Severn Vale, the Cotswolds and the Forest of Dean. A country park since 1972 and a Green Flag Award winner, it offers a genuine countryside experience within two miles of the city centre. Near the main car park on Reservoir Road families will find picnic and play areas, with the children's play area featuring a climbing frame, wooden apparatus and a slide. From there a network of way-marked trails and a timber sculpture trail lead out across wildflower meadows and woodland; some routes are suitable for pushchairs, and an all-terrain mobility scooter is available for hire on designated trails. A cafe, visitor centre and public toilets are available on site, with the Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust headquarters also based here. Dogs are welcome, though cycles, motorised vehicles and drones are not permitted. Free parking is provided. The country park is free to visit, making it one of Gloucester's best spots for combining an easy play stop with a proper hilltop walk and wide-open countryside.
