About Longford Park

Longford Park sits on Longford Road in the north of Coventry and is a free, public park managed by Coventry City Council. Its play provision was improved and extended in 2011 and caters for a wide age range. Younger children have a fully enclosed play area with toddler swings, a birds-nest swing, a small roundabout, a spring see-saw and a medium multi-play climbing frame with a rope climb and slide, while older children have a natural play area built from wood and stone and a dedicated teen hangout area. Beyond play, the park has a skatepark, a double floodlit multi-use games area for five-a-side and court sports, and outdoor fitness equipment including hand bikes, cross trainers and pull-up bars. A 1600m healthy walking and jogging trail loops the site, which is also a popular dog-walking venue. The park is open seven days a week and has two car parks with seasonal closing times, ranging from mid-afternoon in winter to early evening in summer. With its spread of play, skating, sport and fitness facilities, Longford Park is a strong all-round family and youth destination for the Longford and Foleshill side of the city.
