About Hailey Park
Hailey Park is a riverside public park of around 19 hectares in Llandaff North, laid out along the River Taff and established in 1926. Managed by Cardiff Council with support from the active Friends of Hailey Park group, it holds a Green Flag Community Award. The park is a mix of well-kept playing fields, a managed wildlife meadow and riverside greenery. Families head for the large children's playground, which caters for children up to around the age of 12 with climbing equipment and swings. The park also has tennis courts that are free to use with no booking required, and is a hub for local rugby with pitches used by community clubs. Riverside walks and cycle routes follow the Taff Trail through the park, and a pedestrian and cycle bridge links across the river to Danescourt and Radyr. The park is free to enter and open to the public 24 hours a day, seven days a week. There are no public toilets on site. Two car parks serve the park, one off Radyr Road and one on Ty-Mawr Road for the changing rooms. It is a popular and sociable spot for dog walking.
