About Lammas Land
Lammas Land is a popular park in southwest Cambridge, about half a mile from the city centre and bordered by Fen Causeway and Newnham Road. Managed by Cambridge City Council, it is a firm family favourite thanks to its large children's play area with equipment for all ages, including swings, slides and climbing frames. In summer a small paddling pool, accessed from Barton Road, is free to use and ranges from around 20 to 33 centimetres deep, making it ideal for younger children. The park also has a tennis court, table tennis table and a bowling green that is home to Newnham Bowls Club. Public toilets, a refreshment kiosk and maintained picnic areas make it an easy place to spend the day, and a car park with 75 spaces serves visitors. A pedestrian bridge links Lammas Land to the adjacent Sheep's Green recreation ground and local nature reserve, giving families plenty of space to explore. Lammas Land is open and free to access all year round.
