About Glebe Farm Recreation Ground

Glebe Farm Recreation Ground is a green space in Stechford, east Birmingham, managed by Birmingham City Council and supported by the Glebe Farm and Stechford Residents Group. It plays an integral role in the local community and offers strong provision for a range of ages: there is a younger children's play area, older children's play equipment and a youth shelter, alongside a multi-use games area and a skate park. For quieter visits there are tree-lined walks around the park, where volunteers and local school pupils have planted new shrubs and flowers. The River Cole winds its way through the northern fringes of the park, and the site sits close to the River Cole Valley Cycle Route, which runs for around 10 miles, making it a good starting point for longer walks and rides. The main entrance and car park are off Glebe Farm Road, with the nearest bus stops on Glebe Farm Road and Wyndhurst Road, and Stechford railway station about 10 minutes' walk away. It is a well-equipped neighbourhood recreation ground serving the Stechford area.
