About Chineham Park

Chineham Park is a community park in the Popley area of Basingstoke, best known for its seasonal splash pad, one of the council's two water play facilities alongside Eastrop Park's paddling pool. The play park is designed for a range of ages and abilities and includes a climbing and sheltering hut, a toddler multi-play unit, group swings and a tree detective play panel, together with a wheelchair accessible roundabout so younger children of different abilities can play alongside each other. The splash pad features water jets that turn on and off to keep children entertained, and it typically runs through the spring and summer from around April to the end of September before closing for the autumn and winter. There is also an open grass area for games and picnics and an outdoor gym for older visitors, making it an easy spot for a whole family to spend time together. The park is accessible by car or on foot from Chineham Park Court, with limited free parking on site. Managed by Basingstoke & Deane Borough Council, Chineham Park and its play area are free to enter, with the splash pad provided free during its summer season.
