About Barleylands Farm Park

Barleylands Farm Park at Billericay, a short drive south-west of Chelmsford, bills itself as Essex's real family farm park and pairs hundreds of animals with a big outdoor and indoor play offer. The park is home to over 400 animals, including goats, pigs, donkeys, cows and sheep, smaller fluffy favourites such as rabbits and guinea pigs, a wide range of birds, and a Reptile House with dozens of enclosures of amphibians, lizards, snakes and insects. Families can join daily animal activities in the indoor animal barn and watch birds of prey displays. For play there are two adventure playgrounds, the Speedway, a giant jumping pillow and indoor soft play barns, plus a miniature railway and tractor and trailer rides. A discovery centre tells the story of local farming. The site has a large free level car park with disabled bays, accessible toilets and a Changing Places facility, and about 85% of the park is wheelchair accessible on concrete or tarmac paths. The Tiptree Tea Room serves food, and the adjoining Craft Village has over sixty shops and studios. Entry is paid, with tickets booked online, and only guide dogs are allowed on the Farm Park.
