About MakeBelieve - The Baby Play Place
MakeBelieve - The Baby Play Place is a calm, baby and toddler focused indoor play venue at 3 Drumsheugh Place in Edinburgh's West End. Unlike large multi-level centres, MakeBelieve is designed especially for the youngest children, with soft play, sensory and imaginative play areas aimed at newborns up to around five years old, although admission is charged for all children. A key feature is that there are no time limits on drop-in play, so families can stay as long as they like within opening hours. The venue offers snacks and drinks for all ages from its retail shop, and outside food is not permitted unless a party package has been booked. Pram and buggy parking on site is limited and allocated first come, first served, so the venue recommends public transport where possible given its central location. MakeBelieve opens seven days a week from 9am to 4pm, and families can drop in or book ahead online. It also hosts birthday parties and special events such as themed fun days. Drop-in play for one child starts from around £10.80, with reduced rates for siblings and no charge for accompanying adults.
