About Hesters Way Park

Hesters Way Park is a large green space which sits between GCHQ and the Gloucestershire College campus, opened in 1957. Among its many mature trees stands the Listening Stones, a sculpture of nine standing stones carved from glacial granite. The park's play area was installed in September 2005 and includes a fenced area suitable for toddlers along with a separate, more open area for juniors, giving younger and older children their own space to play. The park can be accessed from Princess Elizabeth Way and Kempton Grove, with on-street parking nearby and accessible paths running through the open parkland. There are no toilets or cafe on site, so families planning a longer visit should come prepared. With its wide lawns, established trees and distinctive stone sculpture, Hesters Way Park is a well-used neighbourhood green space serving the west of Cheltenham. The park and its play area are free to use and open to the public.
