About Alice Park

Alice Park is an eight-acre (3.4 hectare) public park about two miles east of Bath city centre, at the junction of Gloucester Road and the A4 London Road in Lambridge. It was gifted to the people of Bath in 1938 by Herbert Montgomery MacVicar and is managed by the Alice Park Trust on behalf of Bath & North East Somerset Council. The park is a well-loved family destination with a children's play park, a skate park, six tennis courts open to all, a community garden, a wildlife pond and a boules piste, set among well cared-for trees and planting. In 2025 the play area began a major upgrade funded by £125,000 secured by the Alice Park Trust, including £75,000 from the council's Community Infrastructure Levy, with new play equipment installed by the Alice Park Subcommittee. There is no charge for admission and the park is open throughout the year. An award-winning, fully licensed cafe opens daily from around 9am to 5pm with slight seasonal variation, and the park has toilets and limited free parking on site. Well-behaved dogs are welcome.
