About Househill Park

Househill Park is a large open park on the south-western edge of Glasgow, flanking the Househillwood neighbourhood between Pollok and Nitshill and managed by Glasgow City Council. Covering around 60 acres, it is mainly open grassland crossed by walking paths, giving it a spacious, airy feel popular with dog walkers, runners and families. For children there is a play area, and the park also has a small rose garden, adding a more ornamental corner to the otherwise open green space. The park sits close to Peat Road, which runs through the centre of the surrounding Househillwood estate, with the main frontage on Barrhead Road, and it is one of several equipped green spaces in this part of south-west Glasgow alongside nearby Rosshall Park and the Dams to Darnley countryside. With its generous open space, play area and rose garden, Househill Park is a free, public neighbourhood park that provides valuable everyday recreation for the Househillwood, Priesthill and Nitshill communities. As with many local parks, facilities such as toilets, parking and a cafe could not be confirmed from official sources.
