About Bournville Park
Bournville Park is a small public park in the suburb of Bournville, the garden village founded by the Quaker Cadbury family, and is managed by Birmingham City Council with the support of the Friends of Bournville Park. Located within the Bournville Village Trust estate, the park was transferred to the City of Birmingham by the Trust in 1920. For families there is a play area by the Linden Road entrance, close to Bournville Village Primary School, making it a handy local playground. The park also has three hard tennis courts accessed from the car park, a picnic area, and the Bourn Brook, which runs through the green space and adds natural interest. Entrances are on Selly Oak Road, Linden Road, Beech Road and Thorn Road, and there is a small car park, with Bournville railway station around 10 minutes' walk away. Set among the distinctive architecture and greenery of the Bournville estate, the park is a pleasant, well-kept neighbourhood space combining a children's play area, tennis and quiet picnic spots.
