About Pallister Park
Pallister Park sits in the Park End area of east Middlesbrough and is often described as the city's leisure centre without a roof thanks to its wide range of outdoor activities. Managed by Middlesbrough Council, it has held Green Flag status continuously since 2017. Families head for the play area, which offers equipment for all ages including swings, slides, climbing equipment, an adventure play area and roundabouts. Around the playground there is plenty more to do: a roller skating rink, a bowling green, tennis courts, football pitches and large areas of open green space for ball games and picnics, plus a community recreation centre. The play area is suited to a wide age range, from toddlers on the swings and roundabouts to older children on the climbing equipment and adventure play. The park is a well-used neighbourhood green space and the council has set out a vision to develop its facilities further over the coming years. There are no toilet facilities at the park itself, so plan ahead for younger children. Entry is free and the park is open daily throughout the year.
