About Christ's Pieces
Christ's Pieces is a well-used city-centre park set in a 3.2-hectare parkland of trees, lawns and colourful flower beds, next to Christ's College and close to the Grafton Centre and the bus station. Managed by Cambridge City Council, it is one of the oldest public open spaces in the city and a popular lunchtime and family spot. For children there is a playground designed for younger children, while active visitors can use four tennis courts, a bowling green and table tennis tables. The ornamental flower beds and mature trees make it an attractive green link between the city centre and the Grafton area. There are public toilets on site and a refreshment kiosk for drinks and snacks. Because of its central location it is within easy walking distance of the main shopping streets, the colleges and Parker's Piece. Christ's Pieces is open and free to access throughout the year, making it a convenient place for families, office workers and visitors to relax close to the heart of Cambridge.
