About Blackbird Leys Park

Blackbird Leys Park is a nine-hectare green space in the south-east of Oxford, a leafy haven in the middle of the Blackbird Leys estate with a tree-lined meandering brook and wide open grass areas. Managed by Oxford City Council, it sits right next to the Leys Pools and Leisure Centre. For families there are two play areas, including a sand pit for building sandcastles, a zipwire and timber play equipment, and a climbing wall with nets for more adventurous children, plus a fitness trail that forms part of the council's Leys Trail. Sporting facilities include football pitches, a bowls area and outdoor table tennis. The park is easy to reach on foot or by cycle, and is well served by buses, with the nearest stop around a minute's walk away. Two car parks serve the site, one off Cuddesdon Way and one next to the leisure centre off Pegasus Road. Drones and model aircraft are not permitted for safety reasons. The park is open all day, every day, and entry and the play areas are free.
