About Fintry Park

Fintry Park is the main green space for the Fintry housing scheme in north-east Dundee, an area of open grassland on Cheviot Crescent crossed by the Green Circular cycle route that loops around the city. It offers two separate fenced play areas for different ages. The first has a junior multiplay unit with a slide, spring rockers and picnic tables, while the second adds cradle and junior swings, a roundabout, a seesaw, spring rockers, climbing boulders and ground games, with wetpour and bark surfacing throughout. One of the park's distinctive features is a sequence of four outdoor gym stations spread along the grass, fitted with a stepper and abs bench, a spinning bike and bench press, a rower and shoulder press, and a skier with chin-up and dip bars, giving teenagers and adults a free trail-style workout as they move through the park. Benches and picnic tables make it an easy spot for families to stop, and the open grass suits ball games and running about. The park is free to enter and open year-round; dogs are welcome in the wider park but not inside the fenced play areas.
