About Camperdown Country Park

Camperdown Country Park is the largest public park in Dundee, covering more than 400 acres of parkland, woodland and open space around the Greek Revival Camperdown House, about three miles from the city centre. The park is free to enter and is home to one of Scotland's most impressive clusters of children's play, with several linked play areas near the Craw's Nest. The headline is a nautical, pirate-ship themed complex reflecting the Battle of Camperdown, with slides, climbing nets, suspension bridges and a crow's nest, alongside a large toddler area featuring a castle, sandship, adventure house and shelters. A dedicated inclusive play area adds wheelchair-accessible roundabouts, inclusive spring rockers, buddy boards and sensory play panels, and there is a separate award-winning Sensory Garden. Families will also find an aerial runway, climbing rope towers, trampolines, sand play, an outdoor gym, a kickabout area and an agility trail. Public toilets, including accessible facilities, are at the Craw's Nest, there is free parking and a cafe on site, and the paid-entry Camperdown Wildlife Centre houses a large animal collection. With more than 190 tree species, it is a genuine all-day family destination.
