About Cintra Park
Cintra Park is a flat, open parkland on Cintra Avenue in a quiet area off Christchurch Road in south Reading, offering panoramic views to the south that are best appreciated in winter. Its children's playground was refurbished in 2021 under an 85,000-pound Reading Borough Council scheme, with the design chosen by local school children and residents and delivered by HAGS. The revamped play area improved access into and around the playground and introduced a strong inclusive focus. Equipment includes a see-saw, a trampoline, two multi-units with slides and a zip line, a catapult and a rope swing, together with an inclusive roundabout, an inclusive four-way springer, and sensory games and panels, all set off by vibrant floor graphics. Beyond the playground the park has a picnic area, cricket, football, basketball, a hard-surfaced pitch, a bowling green and outdoor gym equipment, so there is something for all ages. Seating and dog bins are provided around the park. Cintra Park is managed by Reading Borough Council and is free to enter.
